An encounter with the new R

I was just cruising a long the Plus highway when she suddenly pass me, fast.

I decided to tag along. I was quite surprised because she drag me up to 140km/h. Once in a while my speedo meter reach 150km/h.

Well, I think it was good that the mini Honda can perform that well. Pretty impressive for a single cylinder 250cc engine.

Well done Honda!

I've seen it!

Beautiful! I like the overall package. It is rather expensive (almost RM20K OTR) but it is really well designed.

I saw it at a motorcycle shop a few days ago and I really think Honda has done it well. I love the sitting position. Not too sporty but rather comfortable. Seat is low enough for us Asian.

But for speed demon, forget it. Boleh kena kitai dengan old TZM.... he.. he.. he....

At the bike shop now!

It's at the bike shop already?. Looks nice. I hope it is well priced.

If it is to fight with the Ninja 250, price must be lower than 19k. Any higher than that, it will be for Honda fans only.

I still says the single piston is a little discouraging. But who knows, it may explode!

Pre-launching!

In Roda-Roda magazine issue January 2011, on the last page, Honda is giving a hint of their new 'weapon'. It is not like Honda. Usually they just introduce their new model without prior campaign.

But rumor is all over the world that Honda is producing a new entry level sport bike. A 250cc single.

A 250cc single..... well personally I am not impressed at all!

In this country, when you spend RM18,000 (I think the price will be around this figure) you will want some supremacy!

I just don't like the idea of spending that much and being severely 'beaten' by the older 250s... like the Ninja 250, the ZXR250 or even there older ZZR250.

I do not know what Honda is thinking but being in the business for a long time, I think they know what they are doing.

We'll see.......................
